	The Stickery is a one-man operation located at the foot of Hogback Mountain in Landrum, SC. As a teenager I began carving in pine knots. Having been self-taught, my style has not been influenced by others. While my original intent was to capture the look of the trappers of the 1800's, the look of the wood spirit crept in over time. They've been called Father Time, Old Man of the Mountains, Old Man Winter, but the wood spirit seems to fit. - Les Smith
